It is time to wake up. Europe is in difficulties. The Euro is under increasing pressure and shrinking EU markets will probably result in our UK markets being invaded across all
sectors by companies from the EU, desperate to gain sales and willing to cut quality and margins.
In such conditions there could be a groundswell of British patriotism. Products known or seen to be British Made are likely to find greater favour with British buyers and shoppers. In recent surveys of UK shoppers 80% said they would prefer to buy products identified as British made and felt this would be a positive aid in the rebuilding our UK economy.
Why not protect your products with the BMFQ registered ‘British Made’ trademark.
A registered trademark is far easier to protect in law than a patent, so if your product or
literature carries this registered trademark and anyone copies it, speedy and effective legal action can be taken against the plagiarist manufacturer or importer.

Since our formation in 2002 we have regularly lobbied Government, Unions and Trade Associations, attempting to convince them of the importance in any sound economy of a strong manufacturing base.
At last they are beginning to realise that only design and manufacture adds real wealth to an economy by way of greater employment, greater spending ‘at home’, greater personal saving, increased exports and growth in taxable income. They still struggle to understand that real economic strength and national wealth comes from large numbers of small businesses, and not simply ‘Footsie’ multinationals, but the tide is at last beginning to turn.
